The University of Arizona Museum of Art is recruiting new docents for our next training program that will take place September 9, 2019 through late April 2020. Once we receive your application, we will get in touch to schedule an informal interview by phone or in person at the Museum.

Availability and Requirements
Aside from required training workshops on most Monday mornings, UAMA volunteers can set their own schedules and sign up for the opportunities that work best for them. The majority of volunteer opportunities (including museum tours and community talks) happen during the day on weekdays. Throughout the year there may be a few volunteer opportunities at evening and weekend events.

UAMA Membership *
There is no cost to enroll in the UAMA docent training program but all UAMA docents are required to become Members of the Museum at an Individual level or higher ($50 annually). Students may enroll at the Student level. You can join in person, by mail, or online at
