Join us this Spring for our Adventure Play Club at The Yard!

play:groundNYC is excited to offer our Spring season of Adventure Play Club! On weekdays from 2:30pm to 6pm, at The Yard on Governors Island, young people will spend their afternoons in the pursuit of their own self-directed play. They will have the opportunity to play, create, build and explore with the support of our wonderful playworkers. Our club is small, so reserve your spot while you can!

Monday March 30th through Friday June 12th

The Adventure Play Club group is primarily for students in grades 1 through 6 (reach out about other ages). Our club takes place in all weather. School/neighborhood pick-up is available where we can arrange a minimum number of 5 young people.

Please note: Our Adventure Play Club is intentionally small, and space on each day is limited. Groups are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis. Even if the minimum number of participants is met, we may not be able to accommodate additional groups once a day has reached capacity. Early registration is strongly encouraged.

Our trained playworkers will pick up young people at school dismissal and bring them to Governors Island via public transportation and on the ferry. Young people will return with our playworkers, ready for pick up from where we met them or alternative pick up points.

Tuition for Spring 2026 semester:
Mondays | 9 sessions | $702
dates: 3/30, (no club 4/6), 4/13, 4/20, 4/27, 5/4, 5/11, 5/18, (no club 5/25), 6/1, 6/8 
Tuesdays | 10 sessions | $780
dates: 3/31, (no club 4/7), 4/14, 4/21, 4/28, 5/5, 5/12, 5/19, 5/26, 6/2, 6/9
Wednesdays | 9 sessions | $702 or $891 for early school pickup
dates: 4/1, (no club 4/8), 4/15, 4/22, 4/29, 5/6, 5/13, 5/20, (no club 5/27), 6/3, 6/10 
Thursdays | 8 sessions | $624
dates: 4/16. 4/23, 4/30, 5/7, 5/14, 5/21, 5/28 (no club 6/4), 6/11 
Fridays | 8 sessions | $624
dates: 4/17, 4/24, 5/1, 5/8, 5/15, 5/22, 5/29, (no club 6/5) 6/12
 
- Paid via quickbooks invoice that will be sent to those registering

- Tuition helps support our mission to transform the city through play, via scholarships, free entry to The Yard during weekends, and free pop-ups around the city.

Minimum enrollment required to open.
All families will need to sign an electronic waiver.
