TIPS Parenting is decidedly a community-based partnership program. We operate on the idea the people learn best when they are most comfortable. The Center for Disease Control has made suggestions for providing protective factors for children which include providing community-based parenting education programs that are easily accessible and provide childcare. Currently TIPS is providing this services without any financial burden to community partners who are able to host the classes. Services provided include online sign up services, advertisement, weekly communication, and workbooks for all participants. If you would like to pay for childcare or meal services through TIPS, arrangements can be made, however many partners work out these arrangements on their own.
