2024 Lexington July 4th Parade Entry Form
Before the evening fireworks, we invite you to be part of the festivities by participating in the July 4th Parade. This will be a celebration of all things Independence Day! Join us to show off your creativity and July 4th spirit! Members of the community are invited to submit parade entries (costumed characters, performances, floats, etc.) displaying their creativity and festive family fun.

The Lexington July 4 Parade begins after the Bluegrass 10K and Fun Run on Thursday, July 4, 2024.

All entries need to be submitted by Wednesday, June 19th, 2024.  
Submitting this form does not guarantee acceptance

Parade Start Time: 12 p.m.
  • Line up starts at 10a.m. 
  • Trailers/floats must be in place by 11 a.m.
  • Pedestrian units must be in place by 11:30 a.m.
There is no charge for costumed characters and entertainers to walk in the parade. Entry fees for floats, community groups and businesses range from $50 – $530.

Disclaimer: While the parade applauds all forms of free expression, it is not a political rally or a commercial opportunity. The focus here is family friendly holiday fun; all entries should exhibit creativity and ingenuity with humor and the spirit of the season. No entries will be permitted that are solely commercial/marketing presentations - the goal is to have all entries decorated for 4th of July or in Red, White and Blue themes and  costuming.

I have read this complete application and the 2024 FOURTH OF JULY PARADE INFORMATION AND SPECIFICATIONS and understand all rules as applied to pedestrian, vehicle, float, and horse/animal entries, and agree to abide by all rules and regulations, including obtaining Waiver signatures from all participants. As the undersigned, I agree to function as the primary contact for the above named entry group and agree to promptly notify Lexington Parks and Recreation should the contact responsibilities be transferred to another person. I understand that failure to abide by the rules may disqualify my group from participation. I understand that all fees are non-refundable and this if, for any reason, my group is unable to attend the parade, I will notify LPR immediately as a courtesy to the script and lineup preparation process.
