The Atlanta Black Theatre Festival presents the Dr. Doris Derby Collegiate Monologue Competition
Are you a college performer ready for the spotlight?

Submit your best 2–3 minute monologue for a chance to be selected as a finalist for the ABTF Collegiate Monologue Competition, presented live on Let’s Talk Theatre—LIVE! on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 7:00 PM ET.

Finalists will perform live before a virtual audience and panel of judges. The top four winners will be flown to Atlanta to perform during the Atlanta Black Theatre Festival.

This is more than a competition. It is a national platform for the next generation of powerful storytellers.
