AYSO 300 In-Person Coach Training
If you haven't yet submitted or renewed your AYSO background check application, please do so as soon as possible by logging in to your Family Profile.

All coaches and referees are required to complete AYSO's annual background check.  If you see "Complete" in your Family Profile near your name, you're good!  

If you see a "Begin Background Check," "Renew," or "Volunteer Now" message near your name in your Family Profile, please click it and complete the next forms, pages, and instructions to submit your background check application ASAP.

Online Training Requirements:
All Coach (Head and Asst) volunteers are required to complete ONCE the online courses listed below by logging into their region's eTrainU/AYSO-U website. 

You should be able to access eTrainU/AYSO-U through your Region's website.  Look for a "graduation cap" icon as a link.

Please review and complete if you haven't already the following:

SafeSport
  • After logging in to the eTrainU page, scroll towards the bottom of the page.
  • Select the green SafeSport button/link.
  • As a member organization of the U.S. Soccer Federation, AYSO requires that all adult coach and referee volunteers complete the online SafeSport module.
AYSO-U Training Library
After logging in to AYSO-U, select the “Training Library” on the left bar.  Under "Course Categories" select the corresponding “View Courses” button for the corresponding Course Category listed below and complete the online modules:

Safe Haven Category:
  • AYSO's Safe Haven
  • CDC Concussion Awareness
Coaching Category:
  • AYSO's Summary of the Laws of the Game (all coaches of all divisions)
  • 6U Coach - Online (for U5 or U6 coaches) 
  • 8U Coach - Online (for U7 or U8 coaches)
  • 10U Coaching - Online (for U9 or U10 coaches)
  • 12U Coach Training - Online (for U12 coaches)
  • Intermediate 14U - Online (U14 coaches)
In-Person Coach Training:

In-Person Training Opportunities
In-Person training will include some low-impact field training for coaches. 

Please come dressed in comfortable clothing and gym/running shoes as we will do some light work with a ball at your feet.

Please try to arrive on-time so that we can keep on schedule. Please do *NOT* bring your kids to training.

Here's a map for finding Timber Trails in Western Springs. Where session location says "TBD," coaches who sign-up will be notified of location within a few days of the session.
