The Bush Traditions Gathering 2019
A convergence of folk exploring and celebrating diverse aspects of our Australian identity, held at the Hartigan Centre in Yass, on the NSW Labor Day Long Weekend - October 4th to 7th.

This is a participatory event with players, performers and dancers coming together to enjoy a program of music, song, craft, dance, and poetry in a friendly cooperative atmosphere.

Participants are not paid and everyone contributes to the costs of running the weekend but this is a very reasonable $30 ($25 concession) for the three days.

Don Brian is aiming to have a full program of singing workshops and sessions. Dave Johnson is wanting folklore and music workshops. Leigh Brown and Helen Romeo are looking for spoken word contributions, while Sue Brian is coordinating craft workshops. Ray Mulligan is keen to see further craft activities and demonstrations this year, and to extend the Australian dance component.

Workshops will generally be about an hour long, but the time can be varied to suit.

Contributions are invited to add to the program's content using this online application which makes the job of planning the program much easier for the volunteer organisers. However, if it is a problem please discuss your suggestions with Ray Mulligan on 02_6247_4725.

This form allows for 2 contributions per application. Please open further applications as required.
