About "Leading from the Secretary's Seat"
As part of our Blueprint, Baltimore City Public Schools is pleased to announce the launch of the Leading from the Secretary’s Seat, a leadership development opportunity for school secretaries. Leading from the Secretary's Seat is an investment in front-office staff to build their capacity to lead from their seats. Anchored in the Office of Human Capital’s prior customer service offering, Leading from the Secretary's Seat will use the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), a self-awareness tool, to sharpen service-orientation, conflict management and overall communication skills. In spring 2019, the Talent and Organizational Development Department will offer Leading from the Secretary's Seat for 50 secretaries across the district. This application process will help us to ensure that there is equitable access to the program and representation from all school types and geography. Future offerings are planned for next school year and are subject to funding.
