Getting Here:

London Underground
Nearest underground stations: Walthamstow Central and Blackhorse Road, both Victoria Line

Walking from Walthamstow Central

Come out of the station on to Selborne Road and look for The Goose pub. From The Goose turn left into Hoe Street, walk along Hoe Street for about 10 minutes and you will come to Ruby Road. Turn left into Ruby Road and at the end you will see the William Morris Gallery, just inside the main entrance to Lloyd Park. The walk will take approximately 12-15 minutes.

Bus from Walthamstow Central and Blackhorse Road

From Walthamstow Central, take the exit for the bus station. You can get bus numbers 34, 97, 215, 275, or 357 to Bell Corner (5-6 minutes). Turn left into Forest Road and the Gallery is about 100 yards down on the right. Walking directions from Walthamstow Central are below.

From Blackhorse Road station take bus 123 towards Ilford and alight at the Lloyd Park stop, which is in front of the Gallery (10-15 minutes). Alternatively, you can walk from Blackhorse Road station to the Gallery along Forest Road (20-25 minutes).

Take the train from London Liverpool Street Station (Chingford Line) to Walthamstow Central station (about 15 minutes). See above for instructions on getting to the Gallery from the station.

By Car
Travelling on the North Circular come off at the Billet roundabout on to the A112 (Chingford Road) driving until you come to the junction with Forest road. Turn right into Forest Road and the Gallery is about 100 yards on the right.

Parking
Cars

The Gallery has three disabled parking bays for blue badge holders only. Access is via Forest Road. The Gallery gates are kept locked to prevent unauthorized parking. Blue badge holders are therefore asked to call the Gallery on the number at the foot of this page when they arrive and someone will come and let you in. If you don't have a mobile phone you can call us in advance so we know to expect you.

There is no other parking at the Gallery, and parking in the local area is very limited. It is therefore advisable to come by public transport if at all possible. The Gallery is situated within a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ). There is a pay and display car park at the Town Hall Complex on Forest Road, approximately 5 minutes walk away. There is also a small pay and display car park on Bedford Road, adjacent to the Gallery. However this is often busy.
