APBP 2019 Call for Proposals
The Association of Pedestrian and Bicycle Professionals is currently soliciting proposals for the 2019 APBP Conference in Portland, Oregon, to be held August 25-28, 2019: https://www.apbp.org/page/Events

TIMELINE
The Call for Proposal Submissions will be open from October 23, 2018 - January 10, 2019. Proposal submitters will be notified of the status of their proposal no later than March 15, 2019.

Proposals accepted for presentation (speakers, moderators & posters) will be able to register at the discounted Conference rate of $475 for APBP members and $585 for non-members. Students will be able to register at the discounted rate of $175 for APBP members and $205 for non-members.

PRESENTATION TYPES:
APBP is looking for proposals for several presentation types:
1. Workshop (2.5 hours)
2. Round Table (30 minutes x5)
3. Panel Session (90 minutes)
4. Learning Lab (40 minutes)
5. Pecha Kucha (7 minutes)
6. Mobile Tour (2.5 hours)
7. Poster

PRESENTATION CRITERIA:
--The best APBP sessions are interactive and engaging, offering new ideas and fresh approaches.
--This annual call is highly competitive. Proposals will be reviewed and ranked by a set of track leaders.

Presentation Types
If you would like to submit a second proposal for a different presentation type, you will have the opportunity to do so at the very end of this form. **Please note that all proposals are subject to the discretion of the planning committee and you may be contacted to propose an alternative format that better suits the overall program.**

WORKSHOP (2.5 hours)
In-depth sessions that may include multiple presenters or time for small groups or break outs.

ROUND TABLE (30 minutes x5)
In-depth discussions are led at each table by a different speaker. The speaker hosting the table will give a short presentation and take the participants at their table on a discussion of the topic at hand. After 30 minutes. participants will change tables. The overall length is 2.5 hours.

PANEL SESSION (90 minutes)
Panels feature up to four presenters covering a specific topic and are combined with a joint question and answer session at the end.

LEARNING LAB PRESENTATION (40 minutes)
Each Learning Lab session will be 2.5 hours total with 3 presenters speaking for 40 minutes each, and a combined Q&A at the end. Think of this session as 3 case studies being presented on a single topic or issue. Submit for your ONE, 30-40 minutes presentation and we'll group you with other presenters to complete these 2.5 hour session based on similar topics.

PECHA KUCHA (7 minutes)
A concise, fast-paced style where you present 20 slides for 20 seconds each (total of 6 minutes and 40 seconds), allowing for a lot of new ideas to be presented in a short period of time.

MOBILE TOUR (2.5 hours)
Mobile sessions include multiple stops and can account for different modes of transportation (bike, walk, transit, etc.)

POSTER
Selected posters will be displayed during the conference. The poster sessions will give presenters the opportunity to talk about their poster subject with attendees. This also includes submission for the student poster copetition.
