Women's Relationships & Chronic UTI  (cUTI)    You, Me & cUTI
I am a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and also have an ongoing cUTI condition. I am hugely relieved to have got to the stage in my recovery where I feel able to offer support to other women with cUTI.  My personal experience is that alongside the ill health and limitations in my functioning that I have experienced and still can experience, the most difficult part of this condition has been managing my relationships, the expectations others have of me, the expectations I have of myself and finding a way to communicate about this at a time that I feel vulnerable and that I am falling short.

I am developing a day long Saturday workshop for women focussing on these aspects, how cUTI impacts on how we feel about ourselves, our bodies and our relationships. And what we can hold in mind to help ourselves through these challenges. I am aware however that my experiences are personal to me. Some of these will be shared, and some will not as our own relationship histories and styles will impact on how we cope with this condition.

I am therefore asking those women in the cUTI community who wish to do so to share some of your experiences with me so that I can create the most helpful experience for those who choose to attend in the future.

Please complete as much or as little as you wish and don't push yourself to write more than feels safe to do so. The questionnaire asks about experiences that may be hard to think and write about, so if you are feeling very vulnerable it may be best to wait until you feel safer and more resourced in yourself to complete this. Alternatively, just give it a miss!

You can find out more about me if you want to before you complete the questionnaire using the link below.
