Interlibrary loan changes
The Southern Ontario Library Service (SOLS) exists so that the public has equitable access to library collections and e-resources, well-informed and skilled staff, and library services that meet common standards. They assist with resource sharing, manage interlibrary loan and consortial purchasing, provide staff training, and provide guidance on the management and governance of public library service (including Policy Development, Planning Assistance, and Library Accreditation & Guidelines).
Due to recent budget cuts, the SOLS interlibrary loan delivery service will permanently cease to operate, effective April 26th, 2019. This means that our community will no longer be able to borrow items from other libraries in the province that we do not have available in our own collections.
You can help: tell us why SOLS matters to you.
