『おたる運河灯篭』は、かつて「北海道の心臓とよばれた町・小樽」が北海道中から集まった食べ物や物資を北前船に乗せて全国へ届け、繫栄した歴史になぞらえて、皆様の夢を灯篭に乗せて小樽運河に流すイベントです。
手作りの灯篭に皆様のお願い事やお好きな言葉・イラストを描き、ぜひ小樽の美しい夜を灯篭の灯りで照らしてください。
今年度は、『北運河ナイトマーケットYummy市』と同時開催です。幻想的な小樽運河のライトアップ、美味しいグルメやマーケットを同時にお楽しみください。
Otaru Canal Lantern Festival is an event where participants float handmade lanterns down the Otaru Canal, each one carrying their hopes and dreams. The event draws inspiration from Otaru’s history—once known as “the heart of Hokkaido,” the city thrived by delivering food and goods gathered from all over Hokkaido to the rest of Japan via the Kitamae ships.
We invite you to decorate your own lantern with wishes, favorite words, or illustrations, and light up the beautiful Otaru night with its gentle glow.
This year, the festival will be held alongside the North Canal Night Market – Yummy City. Enjoy a magical evening with illuminated canal views, delicious food, and a lively market atmosphere.
