Complete this form if you are organising coaching or an event (or series of events) and are seeking WAPC assistance with funding. Please read the information below before submitting your funding request. Form submission implies reading, understanding and agreement on all the conditions below.

To be eligible for funding, the event must:
- Be requested by an active member of the Australian Parachute Federation
- Be held in Western Australia and/or benefit a significant number of APF members registered in WA
- Be advertised to WAPC members by creating an event on the WAPC Facebook group
- Be aligned with WAPC and APF strategic goals for sport development
- Be advertised as a WAPC supported event
- Comply with APF Code Of Ethics and only publish as part of the event material appropriate for the general public
- Not coincide with other WAPC supported events that might significantly remove public from one of the events. This item can be discussed with the WAPC State Coach, providing reasonable arguments. Example: Wingsuit FFC - which is restricted to D-License and above would not be affected by a star crest day, which is aimed at B-License and both might be approved on the same day, however, two wingsuit events on the same day would not be good use of WAPC funds.

Events can be either a coaching day or bigger events which require more planning, as per explanation below. The type of event will determine the amount of funding, complexity of the information required, accuracy on acquittal reporting, time to process, etc.

COACHING/ORGANISING DAYS:
- Simpler to organise events, such as a wingsuit FFC, cresting, canopy coaching, etc, in which the organiser is requesting a flat rate per day to cover costs/fees or a support to cover coach slots
- Requests are limited to up to $250AUD per day of coaching not exceeding $500AUD in total
- Most of these events can be hosted without participant registration fees, however, to ensure attendance, WAPC strongly recommends that even a refundable fee is charged
- WAPC requires one week to process the application. The reason for this time is to give enough time for the event to be advertised and attract WAPC members. We highly advise that this event is advertised immediately upon form submission, even without formal approval from WAPC.

BIGGER EVENTS
- Events that require more preparation and potentially more funding, such as (but not limited to):
- Coaching with interstate coaches
- Bigger events with multiple coaches at the same event
- Multiple days of jumping, with multiple groups
- Events that request additional funds for coach slots or camera flyers (provided that cameras are required to enable high quality and detailed debriefs, cameras for day tape purposes are not supported)
- Events requiring more than $500AUD in total or more than $250AUD per day
- For these events, WAPC strongly recommends application to the APF sports development funding, which might be a determining factor on the acceptance of this application
- WAPC requires 4 weeks to process these requests. The reason for the processing time is that APF requests 3 weeks to process applications to the sports development funding, WAPC needs one week to review and advise on your application, before you submit to the APF.

Note on Coaching x Load Organising
Coaches
Coaches may participate in jumps, or may ground coach. Typically they are expected to:
- Determine learning objectives of participants
- Provide a detailed briefing
- Provide a detailed video debrief
- Identify learning objectives for the proceeding jump
- Provide feedback on safe and responsible canopy piloting.
Coaches completing these tasks would be expected to take approximately 40 minutes on the ground between jumps with the group (plus packing time).
Finally, coaches should have several documented seminars that could be presented in case jumping is suspended (or be prepared to forego coaching fees when jumping is suspended).

Load organisers
Load organisers typically motivate jumpers by providing jump briefings, participating on jumps and debriefing without technical analysis. Their role is to put bums on seats and keep aircraft turning. As such, they can usually expect to spend more time jumping and less time debriefing. They may expect their slot to be partially or entirely covered by the DZ, but do not typically receive a fee.
