2021 NERSC Scholarship Application
MARY WEISS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM - Deadline: January 20, 2021
NERSC, Inc., together with the significant support of our scholarship sponsors, is pleased to provide full and partial scholarship opportunities to virtual conference attendees demonstrating need.
Please note that this year NERSC Inc. scholarship funds are available for the conference registration fee only. All other fee-based activities are the responsibility of the applicant and/or their employer.
The number and the dollar amount of scholarships will be determined by the number of scholarship sponsorships we receive.
Applicants will be notified of the status of their application prior to conference registration opening. Registration is scheduled to open on January 28th. If granted a scholarship, it is recommended to register as soon as possible to ensure relevant class options are available.
1) Must have service coordination as part of the job responsibility.
2) Priority is given to:
Those who demonstrate the greatest need and
A) Are a first time NERSC conference attendees;
B) Are a first time scholarship applicant;
(Note - If you were granted a scholarship for the 2020 conference because it was your first time applying, you would still be considered a first time applicant due to it being cancelled.)
C) Have the greatest period of time between receipt of last scholarship.
NERSC, Inc. reserves the right to limit the number of applicants from any organization. Number and dollar amount of scholarships will be determined by the number of scholarship sponsorships received. Incomplete or late applications will not be accepted or reviewed. Scholarships are non-transferrable.
Scholarship award announcements will be made via email by January 25, 2021 prior to registration opening.
Involved with NERSC since its inception, NERSC Board Member, Mary Weiss, is fondly remembered by colleagues and friends at NERSC. Mary died suddenly after returning home from the 2009 NERSC Conference and she is greatly missed.
