Dear dance professionals from Czech 🇨🇿 and Slovak 🇸🇰 republic, we are happy to announce you an open call for The Urge Grows project, which will take place in June 2022 in public spaces. (July and August dates will be announced soon.)

Choreographer Ceren Oran (DE), MOVE Ostrava (CZ) and Tanečno (SK) is looking for dancers with strong contemporary techniques as well as improvisation skills. The dancers are asked to be based in Czech republic for the Czech cast, and Slovakia for the Slovak cast.
 
‘The Urge’ is aiming to have a closer look at the behavior of each individual during a collective crisis. Oran would like to transform the relation between the collective trauma and each person's unique way of dealing with it, into choreographic images. The performance is designed as a simultaneous public space performance in 3 cities in Czech and Slovakia and will create visibility for Contemporary Dance as a performance form and meet a broader audience in unexpected spaces.
 
Rehearsal and performance period of the project will take place between 15th of June and 30th of June. More performance dates will be announced soon and consult with the team.
 
If you are interested and available, please fill this form until 11th of February 2022. The project participants will be selected by the creative team based on the submitted videos. You will be informed about  your non/acceptance by 20th of February 2022.

The project is based on adequate European standards, the payment conditions will be announced by the organizer after the audition.
