The annual Blair Renshaw Memorial 5-A-Side Tournament will be held this year on Sunday, October 11th, at Clover Park!
All teams are expected to participate bringing their entire Fall team to play in this great Santa Monica AYSO tradition. This is a very fun, fast paced, and informal tournament: 16 minute games / eight minute halves, free substitutions, no goalkeepers, no offside, etc. Medals are awarded to first and second place teams at the end of the day. The complete tournament rules and guidelines are posted on the website and at the Ref tent at the tourney.
If your coaching staff cannot participate for any reason and your team has at least FIVE team members that are available to play, we will accept the team and they can be coached by a safe-haven certified parent for this tourney. We want all kids who want to play to have the opportunity to participate.
Please submit the attached application NO LATER THAN 7pm on Wednesday, Oct 7th Coaches/Managers may only enter one team per division. Please fill out a separate application for each division of participation.
Each team will be asked to supply ref(s) for 4 games (each game lasts 16 minutes). The ref volunteer can be the same person, or several people to cover the four games.
This event is also a fund-raising activity for our region. The minimum participation fee of $50 per team is payable via the link that you will find at the top of the confirmation page once you complete the application. Team Managers should collect funds from all participating players and their families in the spirit of charity and community.
Check in for the first game is at 8:20am with the first game starting at 9:00am sharp. Teams with the first games must help setup the fields at 8am. Teams in the finals must help take down the fields. Finals are scheduled to begin at 4 pm, so inform your players and their families to prepare for an all day event.
If you have any questions regarding the tournament, please email the Tournament Directors at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to seeing you on the field!
