CoRAL Sign-Up for Research@CoRAL (Complex Data Reasoning and Analysis Lab)

Thank you for your interest in joining the CoRAL (https://coral-lab-asu.github.io) at ASU, led by Prof. Vivek Gupta (https://vgupta123.github.io)

We are excited about the potential for collaboration on cutting-edge research involving Large Language Models (LLMs) and their applications to complex data types.

About Prof. Vivek Gupta:

  • Current Position: Assistant Professor, SCAI, ASU (From Fall 2024)
  • Previous Experience: Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Pennsylvania’s Cognitive Computation Group, CIS, SEAS under Prof. Dan Roth
  • Ph.D.: Computer Science, Kahlert School of Computing, University of Utah under Prof. Vivek Srikumar
  • Other Roles: Research Fellow at Microsoft Research India (2016-2018)
  • Education: BS-MS in Computer Science, IIT Kanpur (2011-2016)
  • Website: https://vgupta123.github.io (ASU Profile: https://search.asu.edu/profile/5176374 )

Research Focus:

Prof. Gupta’s research focuses on applying LLMs to complex structured data including tables, charts, maps, graphs, and flowcharts etc.

Key areas of exploration include:

  • Trustworthiness of LLMs: Reasoning, hallucination, factuality, security, and privacy
  • Bias and Fairness: In LLM industry applications
  • Robustness of LLMs: LLM uses memorization, suprious correlations in inputs

[Important] Please review the following information on Prof. Gupta’s research before completing the form:

To help us understand your qualifications and motivation, please complete the following form. It should take approximately 20-30 minutes. Remember, there are no right or wrong answers. Provide honest responses to all questions.
