Welcome to the online Alternate Transportation Request Form for Olmsted Falls City Schools!

An Alternate Transportation Request form must be submitted annually for each child BY JUNE 15TH for the upcoming school year ONLY IF THE STUDENT REQUIRES TRANSPORTATION ARRANGEMENTS OTHER THAN RIDING THE SCHOOL BUS TO/FROM THEIR HOME ADDRESS. Students planning to ride the school bus to and from their home residence each school day do NOT need to complete this form.

New residents, or residents making changes to existing transportation arrangements after the annual June 15th deadline may submit a form after the deadline with proof of residence or proof of address change and must submit the form 5 days prior to the requested change.

There are three types of Alternate Transportation Requests available:

(1) FOR ALL STUDENTS (PreKG-12) WITH A SINGLE, DESIGNATED ALTERNATE LOCATION FOR PICK UP AND DROP OFF

(2) FOR ALL STUDENTS (PreKG-12) USING OUTSIDE TRANSPORTATION/ESCORTED BY LOCAL DAY CARE CENTER FACILITIES IN EITHER A.M. OR P.M., OR BOTH A.M./P.M. (***INCLUDING OLMSTED COMMUNITY OUTREACH (OCO) PROGRAM***)

(3) CAR RIDER: FOR ALL STUDENTS (PreKG-12) BEING DROPPED OFF/PICKED UP DAILY BY A PARENT/GUARDIAN OR OTHER DESIGNATED ADULT IN EITHER A.M. OR P.M., OR BOTH A.M./P.M.

Regardless of your choice from the above options, transportation arrangements are effective for ALL SCHOOL DAYS. Requests for alternative arrangements on different days of the week cannot be accommodated. Upon completion of this form, a copy of your request will be emailed to you confirming receipt. Please note that a follow-up email will be sent once your request has been officially processed and approved. Additionally, once bus routes have been set for the upcoming school year, the Transportation Department will send a final email confirming your child’s transportation details. This email confirmation usually comes in late July / early August. If you have not received confirmation of your child’s transportation by August 15th, please plan to contact the OFCS Transportation Department at (440) 427-6350.

For your reference, First Day of School dates for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year are as follows: Grades PreSchool / 1-9 is Thursday, August 20th (08/20/26); Grades 10-12 is Friday, August 21st (08/21/2026); and Kindergarten is Tuesday, August 25th (08/25/2026).
