This information session is an introduction to developing grant proposals for submission to the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Topics to be discussed include the origins and mission of NIH, budgetary trends at NIH, the organizational structure of NIH, the different types of NIH funding mechanisms, the mechanics of preparing proposals for NIH funding, and the proposal review process at NIH. Food and drink are permitted in the session venue.
