AWS Step Function Monitoring
Datadog is working on a new AWS step function tracing feature that will allow you to give you the ability to:

  • Identify high-latency or high-error step function executions
  • Double-click into problematic states within your step function
  • Remove the need to have to use or integrate with AWS X-Ray for your Step Functions

Requirements: this private beta only supports step function executions that take less than 15 minutes and complete tracing is only available for lambda runtimes using Node.JS or Python (coming soon). Other runtimes are are only partially supported.

The limited access beta of Step Function Monitoring will be provided at no cost, but will be a paid product in the future.

We would like to collect your feedback on your experience using AWS step function: installation, configuration, time saved, issues, and bugs.
