Whitecap Entertainment is excited to present the third annual Sommo Festival, returning to Prince Edward Island September 13-14, 2025. Including performances from world-class talent in both music and the culinary world, the third edition of Sommo Festival
will no doubt deliver another unforgettable year.
Media interested in covering Sommo Festival are asked to apply for media accreditation no later than August 1, 2025. All applications will be reviewed following this date with acceptance letters distributed to each accredited outlet no later than August 8, 2025.
While we appreciate the application, we are unable to provide accreditation to photographers not associated with media coverage.
AREAS OF ACCESS
Sommo Festival
Accredited media will have access to the festival grounds, including the Festival Press and Photo Pit areas.
***To note: there will be NO media access to the backstage, side stage or front of house areas.***
GUIDELINES:
• Only working media will be accredited for access to the festival. Accredited outlets must provide a list of attending staff for approval at least five days prior to the event. If this list is not provided with enough time to be reviewed and approved by accreditation staff, entry will not be granted.
• List supplied to accreditation staff for review must ONLY include the names of employees who will be WORKING at the event. Entire staff lists will not be accepted, and a maximum of two people per team will be considered.
• No media will be allowed entry before gates open unless authorized and escorted by the Media team, under any circumstances.
• Company/radio station ID badges are NOT a valid Media Pass and will not allow admission to the grounds.
• Media passes are issued daily and are only valid for that day.
• Each media outlet/organization is responsible for the distribution of this policy information to their staff. Accredited media may receive specific audio/visual consent forms to fill out each day. These must be signed to enter.
All accredited media will be notified of check-in times and must check in with the media team before capturing any on-site content for distribution. All photography/videography of stage performances must be pre-approved and will be monitored by the on-site Media Team who have the ability to remove any media outlet from dedicated media pits at any time. All media must adhere to each talent's media policy, which will be provided by the onsite PR team. Media policies are subject to change ahead of the performance and media will be notified up until showtime of the talent's policy.
Whitecap Entertainment has the right to refuse any media from the festival grounds at any time. All Media must be checked in daily by 5pm sharp. No exceptions.
All media will adhere to the code of conduct. Our events space is a welcoming space to all regardless of race, colour, national origin, gender, gender identity, gender presentation, sexual orientation, age, body size, disability, appearance, religion, citizenship, or pregnancy. Anyone who disrespects our staff/volunteers/guests will be immediately removed from the festival for the entire weekend without a refund and subject to arrest.
