Salam Sister!

Come join your local sisters as we reflect on the Beautiful Names of Allah and grow closer to Him through a unique du'a-boarding activity.

Our halaqa is reading "Reflecting on the Names of Allah" by Dr. Jinan Yousef, and to celebrate our progress we’ll pause to apply what we’ve learned in a visual, reflective exercise.

Through du'a-boarding, we’ll imagine bigger by asking Allah for what only He can give, and we’ll strengthen each other by holding space for one another’s prayers.

Come create your board, refine your intentions, and join us in remembering that what Allah has in store is always greater than what we dream.

What is a Du'a-Boarding? 🤲

A du'a board is simply a visual or illustrative reminder of what you want to ask for from Allah. Whether that be more gratitude for the blessings He has bestowed on you, to build skills that make you a better person like our Rasool (SAS), or even orient yourself to be in alignment with Allah's SWT Decree. All these intentions are solely to help you become the servant you hope pleases Allah.

What To Bring 🎒

- Your laptop or tablet

- Names of Allah you feel drawn to or need to call on in this season of life

- Access Google Slides, PowerPoint, a free account on Canva or equivalent. Alternatively, bring printed images, a poster board, and tape/glue to affix your images to the board. 

About Our Sister's Sunday Halaqa 🌸 

In a hyper-individualized, fast-paced, and distracted modern world, it's hard to build connections with others, especially with other Muslim sisters.

Our intention is to take an active effort in building those connections with other like-minded sisters who are alive, active, committed, encouraging, intellectual, and fun-loving.

We are a small, yet tight group of sisters who are focusing on building bonds of sisterhood by mixing reading and doing fun Islamic activities together.

We hope you join us in our efforts to connect and build better bonds with each other and strengthen our community.

• What do you guys discuss in your halaqa?
  
  We are currently reflecting on the 99 Names of Allah with "Reflecting on the Names of Allah" by Jinan Yousef from August 17 -- December 14, 2025. After that, we'll take a short break from consuming and regroup after the holidays to prepare for Ramadan.
  
  
• Where do you guys meet and when?
  
  📍 WeWork (33 Arch St) in Downton Boston (short walk from Downtown Crossing, State, Park, and Government Center T Stations)
  ⏰ 11:30am -- 1:00pm
  💻 If you can't make it in-person we also do hybrid and conduct the discussion on Zoom every week! (except for open houses like this vision-boarding event)
