For a good Drupal community, we needs a tool to listen to needs and ideas of our community. But unfortunately such a tool does not exist yet. There are countless Drupal Forum posts where people suggest new ideas, but forums are the wrong communication tool for it because it’s difficult to ascertain the issues with the most community support.
Drupal Petitions would like to change that, by providing a simple tool, where people can submit a new idea and others can vote for them. Period.
Other very similar tools like https://www.change.org/ or https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/ are proof that such a tool can help in prioritizing ideas and provide a transparent way of communicating.
