Arcadia Volunteer opportunities UP TO OUR EARS
thanks for volunteering and engaging with Arcadia!  We have an EPIC autumn planned and can use lots of help. From baking cakes to setting tables, making flower crowns to helping us mount our Fall Funtacular.... we need you (and your high school student struggling to complete community service hours!) ! A description of each opportunity is below. Please check the one (or the ones!) that interest you and I will follow up with all the details.

You rule, if I haven't told you lately.  Thanks for being an Arcadian!

Arcadia Farm Dinner: Sunday Oct. 2 -- help us set up a dinner for 250, or help us serve and clean up. It's the volunteer event of the century. Tons of fun, unlike anything else you'll do anywhere else. If you check this box I will send you the eventbrite link to sign up (or you can go there now: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/arcadia-farm-dinner-volunteering-tickets-415586880547 )  This takes place on our farm near Mount Vernon so private transportation is recommended.
Saturday Oct 8: Snallygaster - the East Coast's coolest craft beer festival, which is a fundraiser for Arcadia. It takes place in DC on Pennsylvania Ave, Rain or Shine.
Arcadia's Fall FUNTACULAR! Sunday Oct 16 with various shifts from 11 to 5 pm. This kid-focused event welcomes everyone to the farm for one last hurrah before the harvest season ends. Aggressively low tech; no bouncy houses, no carnival rides. Just egg and spoon races and hollering at our chickens to poop on your number. Folks spread out picnics on the ground, churn butter, and take a hay ride to the big farm.
what's the cool thing you made up?
Arcadia's First Annual Farm 5K - Sunday Nov. 13 -- 7 am to 11 am
Winter Solstice Labyrinth Illumination: Dec. 22 from 3 to 8 pm -- help us pull off a quiet illumination on the longest night of the year to mark the return of longer days! It's mostly just filling paper bags with woodchips and then turning on the battery operated candles. Helps if you know geometry too, but we'll figure it out! Highly Grammable & hot cider too.
