No New Jail Tax Volunteer Sign Up
Thank you so much for supporting the movement against this new jail tax! Please read the following information and fill out the form below to get involved.

Door to door canvassing and phone calling are the most effective tools we have to make sure this jail tax does not pass. Just a few hours of going door to door can win votes that can make the difference between winning and losing a local election. This campaign would not exist without people like yourself taking time out of your day to talk to people about this critical issue.

No experience is necessary to volunteer. We primarily canvass Bellingham where most people are friendly and happy to have somebody come and bring them information about this issue. Our field organizer, Andrew Eckels, is on the job full time and is available to do trainings on doorbelling and phone calling with you every day except Friday. We have great systems organized to make doorbelling and phone calling very simple and fun!

These trainings are half an hour long take place Mondays thru Thursdays at 4 PM, Saturdays at 10 AM, and Sundays at 1 PM. Other times can be arranged to match your schedule. The best times to doorbell are weekdays from 5 pm to sunset, and during the day on weekdays. With limited time left in the campaign it's ideal to do the training and then go out to doorbell or phone call right after the training. However if your schedule only allows you to do a training at one time and then go out at another time that also works!

All trainings happen at the Whatcom Democrats office on 215 W Holly st.

To sign up to do a training please fill out the form below.

If you want to get directly in touch with our field organizer you can call or text Andrew Eckels at 206 272 0154 or email him at
