2020 UGA HEROs Fall Application
Hey, future HEROs!

Applications for Fall 2020 have remained open for our campus teams, but have since formally closed for our Emerging First Years and committee programs. If you have interest in being a committee member, please email Lauren Craig at memberrelations@ugaheros.org.

HEROs was founded by two UGA students in 2005 and has remained one of UGA's largest student-run organizations ever since! We work to improve the quality of life for children infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS through life-changing programs, mentorship, and experiences. Georgia ranks 6th in the nation for pediatric AIDS—making this fight more important now than ever before.

Levels of Involvement
Olympian — The entry level of membership within our organization. You will be led by a team leader and typically meet every other week for an hour or less. The time commitment is low, but your ability to impact our organization and our kids is quite incredible. Campus olympians are those members not affiliated with a sorority or fraternity.

Committee Member — Committees do the "leg work" of running UGA HEROs—from events, to public relations, to fundraising, there is a committee for every interest that plays a crucial role in ensuring everything runs smoothly. Committees usually meet every

Emerging First-Years — This is our new program aimed at training UGA's best and brightest to become campus leaders. By bringing together passionate first-years with experienced student leaders, you'll get a preview of every aspect of HEROs. You'll also have the chance to meet other first-years with similar passions and drive. This program requires an interview, which will be conducted prior to kickoff.
