Save Byfleet's Green Belt
The local Lib Dems in Byfleet have launched a campaign to protect the Green Belt from large scale housing developments in Byfleet and West Byfleet.

Conservative-run Woking Borough Council recently announced the results of its Green Belt Boundary Review, which recommended building around 500 homes in the Borough's Green Belt and is targeting areas in Brookwood, Byfleet, Hook Heath, Mayford, Pyrford and West Byfleet.

The Green Belt Boundary Review recommends that the Green Belt land off the High Road, Murray’s Lane and Parvis Road and land to the east of Byfleet are suitable for housing development. The report suggests that almost 600 properties could be built around West Hall in West Byfleet and 350 homes could be built in and around Byfleet. The borough needs 20 sites for travellers and 16 already exist.
