Student Tutors

Students who would like to BE a tutor for other students should complete this form.

    QUALIFICATIONS

Student Tutors Must: Be in 9th-12th grade Have a 3.25 GPA or higher Have a 90 or higher in any class they tutor (except elementary) No academic dishonesty on record No disciplinary action during current school year Tutor only in courses personally taken at CCA (except MS and elementary) Any exceptions to the above must be approved by administration.

    How it Works

    1. You complete this form and your information is approved and stored. 2. Students who need to be tutored will contact the advisor. 3. The advisor will refer to the list of available tutors and find 1-2 good matches. 4. The advisor will share the contact information of the tutor and his/her parents with the parents of the student needing tutoring. 5. The parents of the student needing tutoring will contact the parents of the tutor and make arrangements for tutoring dates, times, number of meeting times, and payment. We recommend 1-2 30 minute sessions per week, which would be $5-10/week per student. NOTE: Payment is $10/hour and must be paid weekly. Failure to pay tutors will result in termination of agreement by school administration. If a tutor has opted to work for volunteer hours, no payment should be made at any time.
