This Program offers educational and skill development
opportunities to K-12 and community college students in
environmental sustainability, engineering and science by integrating
engineering and science principles to improve and manage natural and
built environments.

- Spring Camp for High School Students:
Join us for a fun day of environmental activities for junior and senior
students guided by our engineering faculty and students. You will learn
about climate change, water quality, air quality and pollution control,
desalination, geospatial analysis, data analytics and more.

- Campus visits: Visit our department at TAMUK. We would be glad to introduce
your students to our environmental engineering program, give a tour to
our lab/facilities, and participate in hands-on environmental
activities.
- Research Experience for Middle/High School & Community College Student: Students spend 2-5 days, 1-4 hours per day working on fun
environmental research projects, guided by our engineering faculty and
students on topics including climate change, water and air quality
control, desalination, geospatial analysis, data analytics and more.
Dates/times are flexible.
- Environmental Informatics Certificate for High School & Community College Students: Students learn the latest on environmental informatics (handing data via programing) and earn a certificate of participation as extracurricular activity. There will be 1 in-person (Nov 9 from 10 am - 12 pm) and 3 virtual sessions (for 2 hours each on Nov 16, Nov 23 and Dec 7 from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm via Zoom).
