TAT Lab Core Program is a way for arts educators to develop their teaching craft with a statewide community of teaching artists and arts educators! In this 6-month program, participants explore learning plan design, learning frameworks, and teaching methods. Faculty and participants seek to create more inclusive and culturally responsive learning spaces for youth. The Core Program focuses on community building, creative thinking, racial justice, and social emotional well-being for both students and educators. Educators share their expertise and learn alongside peers who are working in various contexts and artistic disciplines across Washington state. Annual program applications are open to Washington state arts educators, teaching artists, school-based arts specialists, youth arts providers, and classroom teachers working in any artistic discipline.
Please complete this form to indicate your commitment to provide tuition support for an arts educator to participate in Teaching Artist Training Lab Core Program (TAT Lab). Full tuition for this program is $500, with some scholarship support available. Your organization’s sponsorship will not only make it more financially possible for the applicant to participate, but will also be considered as a vote of confidence that they are well-suited for TAT Lab. If the educator you wish to support is accepted, we will contact you regarding your portion of the tuition payment.
Applications received after the Priority Deadline will be considered on a space-available basis.
