The Pelagos Forum aims to bring together stakeholders from various backgrounds (MPAs, local authorities, fishermen, the tourism sector, NGOs, scientists, national agencies and authorities, young people, etc.). Participants will take part in three workshops : 

o The Pelagos Sanctuary - a shared ambition for sustainable blue economy and climate change resilience 

o Harnessing initiatives and catalyzing actions for the 30X30 Mediterranean ambition - Marine Spatial Planning and other tools to achieve effective ecosystem-based conservation in Pelagos and beyond 

o The science and technology we need for defining and implementing effective associated protective measures (APMs) for the North Western Mediterranean PSSA – with a particular focus on the Pelagos Sanctuary

The aim of this forum is to facilitate cooperation between the different key actors and to make recommendations for joint and transnational actions, partnerships and projects that could potentially be funded by the Pelagos Initiative.
