Join us for the fifth year of Montana Math Matters Workshops across the state. Math Matters workshops are designed for K-12 teachers of mathematics. This year participants will learn how to develop positive math identities in their students through posing purposeful questions. Participants will reflect on effective teaching practices using purposeful questioning to assess and advance students’ reasoning and sense making about important mathematical ideas and relationships. Participants will review the power of questioning and question types as well as determine focusing vs. funneling questions.
