The Project Clinic is an initiative that provides tailored, hands-on support for developing SDG projects (UN Sustainable Development Goals) by the HKU community. The Project Clinic model is first of its kind, we see that reality is chaos and creating SDG projects is the same. The Project Clinic empowers the student community to embark on self-led SDG initiatives, to drive change and impact in the community.

The goals of the scheme

Expanding The Project Clinic team to support more projects, conduct more events and provide more well-rounded services. Expanding the team of consultants with students of more diverse backgrounds and studies.

Job description

Consultant: To manage and consult for 2-3 student’s projects, including but not limited to

  • Providing advice on progressing the student’s projects. 
  • Scheduling and conducting consultation calls with student teams (between 15 - 60 minutes). 
  • Following up with student projects after consultation calls with detailed action plan and next steps 
  • Remind student projects to schedule consultation calls in regular intervals or provide an update on the project. 
  • Report back updates and progress of projects with the rest of The Project Clinic core team. 
  • Expected time commitment: 2-4 hours per week depending on how many project appointments are scheduled.

Curator (of the round table): To lead and moderate the monthly Projects of the Round Table gatherings, and general events including but not limited to:

  • Schedule the date and time of the gatherings. 
  • Booking the necessary equipment and physical space for the gatherings. 
  • Researching and inviting guests and speakers to the gatherings that are deemed relevant with the portfolio of projects. 
  • Preparing the food and drinks for the gathering using The Project Clinic’s budget. 
  • Expected time commitment: 1-4 hours per week in weeks leading up to event
