2019 Rookie Development Grant for Veteran Teams FIRST Robotics Competition Argosy Foundation and FIRST in Alabama Grant
This application is for Alabama Veteran FIRST Robotics Competition Teams only, this will be a competitive grant process due to the amount of funding available for veteran teams.

Grant Details*:
Awarded Veteran Team will receive $2500.00 (non-restricted) for the 2019 Deep Space Season
Awarded Veteran Team will receive $750 (educator/mentor stipend) for the 2019 Deep Space Season

Grant criteria and obligations*:
This grant is for the current Deep Space 2019 Season.
This grant is to be completed by 2019 veteran Alabama FIRST Robotics Competition Teams only. All other FIRST programs are not eligible for these funds.
Teams need to have at least 3 years FRC experience.
Teams must apply for grant via this application and meet all criteria in order to be eligible.
Teams must fulfill grant obligations.
Teams must be from Alabama.
Team must pre-register for the season https://login.firstinspires.org/core/login?signin=ec76d2dc8ebec14a8073a3a3cde0362e and to be eligible for these funds your team must attend the Rocket City Regional in Huntsville, AL at the Von Braun Center March 13-16, 2019. Teams should have at least 2 mentors with 3 or more years experience (educator, industry volunteer, parent, one dedicated adult)
Teams should have at least 10 student team members
Teams must submit to FIRST in Alabama an end of the season report
Teams must submit a team photo with Rookie team and the rookie robot attending the Rocket City Regional to FIRST in Alabama
Teams must submit note or other form of an appreciation of gratitude to Argosy Foundation
Teams must post, tag and be active on at least one of FIRST in Alabama social media platforms
Team must read, follow, sign and return to FIRST in Alabama 'FRC Team Mentoring Guidelines'
Team must ensure that the rookie development team attends the Rocket City Regional with a functioning team and robot
Team must send one mentor to participate and help conduct the Quick Build Workshop at Kick-off

Application Timeline*:
Opens Wednesday August 15, 2018 12:00 PM CDT
Closes Monday October 29, 2018 12:00 PM CDT(or when funds are depleted)
Teams will notified via email (be sure to submit an email you use daily) of their award status on November 1, 2018. Please note that completing an application does not guarantee funding and all teams should be actively fundraising and seeking additional funding opportunities.
