Ignite NC Fall 2018 Fellowship Application
ABOUT IGNITE NC
Launched in 2013, Ignite NC emerged out of a youth and student movement addressing issues of voter suppression, lack of representation of the marginalized, and a belief that young people are capable of shaping a better future for us all.
We believe that in order to create the kind of future we all deserve, we must understand our past, defend the gains made by those who came before us, and ignite and empower everyday people to build towards a fair and just future. A future that sees all of us as part of a legacy of change. We view youth as leaders who are capable of articulating their struggles and creating tangible solutions.
When those most affected by injustice are the leaders who find and implement solutions, we will create a sustainable world. We cultivate young leaders, build skills, and share an intersectional analysis that shifts policy, practice, and behavior in order to achieve and sustain gains.
