NZSL Teacher registration for NZSL Learning
Deaf Children NZ has funding to help families learn or improve New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL).
We are looking for qualified NZSL Teachers to register their interest so that we can share contact information with families who are approved for funding.
Many of the families may live in regions where there are no NZSL Teachers so they may be looking for online learning, we need to know what ways you can deliver NZSL learning.
The NZSL Learning Subsidy Fund is going to be made available in 3 Strands:
Strand A is open to families who live in the following regions: Northland, Waikato, Gisborne, Manawatu-Whanganui, Nelson-Tasman, Marlborough, West Coast, South Canterbury or Southland. The Strand A subsidy is $1,200 [$600 per term] available for NZSL Learning that will take place in Term 1 and/or Term 2 of 2020.
Applications close at midnight on Monday, 20 January 2020.
Strand B is open to families living anywhere in Aotearoa NZ and the subsidy is $800 [$400 per term] available for NZSL Learning that will take place in Term 1 and/or Term 2 of 2020.
Strand C is funding for Regional Parent Groups - there are nine across NZ - for NZSL learning events and activities for their members.
This funding was generously provided by The NZSL Board.
