Thank you, so much for considering me for your portrait session. I am excited to work with you and give you the best pictures, not only so that you could post them on Social media or print them and paste them on your wall, but more importantly, when you look at them five, ten, fifteen years later, you will be excited to see where life took you.
Do you remember the scene in the movie 'Inception' where Leo talks about Ironic Process theory? Here's the transcript.
Cobb: “What do you want?”
Saito: “Inception. Is it possible?”
Arthur: “Of course not.
Saito: “If you can steal an idea, why can’t you plant one there instead?”
Arthur: “Okay, this is me, planting an idea in your mind. I say ‘don’t think about elephants.’ What are you thinking about?”
Arthur: “Right, but it’s not your idea. The dreamer can always remember the genesis of the idea. True inspiration is impossible to fake.”
Why am I talking about this? When we start shooting I am not going to tell you to relax or smile. I will not ask you to calm down or get excited. That is the point I am trying to make. Just like the Ironic process theory, my saying Smile or Relax is not going to make you smile or help you relax.
This is my philosophy. "Think about this, when was the last time you were told to do something and you did it happily? I see many photographers suggesting- commanding subjects, fretting about minute details. My work is different. And you get better pictures. See for yourselves..."
Photography is difficult. I don't mean pressing the shutter to take a picture. Anyone can do it. specialize because I will bring out the emotion you put on at that moment. Let me also say this. I WILL DO THE HARD WORK. On the day of the Photoshoot, I only want you to think about you being you and that bring you 100% to the location. I want to help in any and all ways so that you can get the best bang for your buck. Let me put the work in before the shoot. Please take some time of yours, at your leisure, and fill this form. Go in as much detail as you want to. "A photography project is collaboration. The more we communicate, the better the portraits will be"
If you have any questions or if you need any input, if you have doubts or if you need convincing, if you need deliberation or if you want to force commitment, anything, I mean ANYTHING, you want to take my help, don't hesitate.
