Positive Behaviour For Learning: Safe Respectful Learners
At St Johns Park High School we pride ourselves on having high behavioural expectations. Positive Behaviour for Learning establishes strong school-wide universal systems that promote early intervention, and the teaching and acknowledging of social-emotional skills.

Positive Behaviour for Learning is a state wide initiative developed by the NSW Department of Education that helps schools to develop consistent systems to improve behavioural issues within the school environment in both classroom and non classroom settings. We have developed this poster to promote our behavioural expectations, Safe Respectful Learners, around the school.

This poster will be placed in non-classroom settings such as the canteen, the library and the office. We would like to promote the use of common language around the school to maintain excellent student behaviour. Please answer the questions in the spaces provided below. We welcome any feedback for example suggestions, questions and opinions.

What do you think "Safe Respectful Learner" means?
Positive Behaviour for Learning is all about changing negative behaviours. Our staff have named several minor behaviours that they would like to target in the classroom. For example: the inappropriate use of mobile phones. Are there any CLASSROOM behaviours that you feel we should target as a school community?
Positive Behaviour for Learning is all about changing negative behaviours. Our staff have named several minor behaviours that they would like to target in NON-classroom settings such as the canteen and the playground. Again, our staff have named several behaviours that they would like to target, for example: students littering in the play ground. Are there any NON-classroom behaviours that you feel we should target as a school community?
