Virtual Vendor Application ~ The Local Market
A light-bulb moment happened recently when we realized that our virtual markets and vendor's group are just too incredible to only last one weekend. So instead, we've decided to keep our virtual doors open permanently! And we're looking for vendors!!

Our virtual marketplace will be well curated, organized and truly community centered. There will be a content calendar, with fun themes, segments, and promotions. We will have maker spotlights, shout outs, collaborations, and so much more. The possibilities are endless!


Applications will continue to be open during this time. We just won't be adding new vendors to the group again until Nov.

This will NOT be another ISO (in search of) group, but instead will feature an ISO day, ie; ISO Saturdays. Our admin team will be there to support you and not police, discipline and exclude you. We believe local borders do not end in Durham Region.

Registered vendors will have the option to use our online Boutique The Boutique is an established multi-vendor website that allows vendors to create their own maker shop within it. This option also includes a vendor managed, sellers dashboard. It is not a requirement to use our website. Vendors can also use; their own website, Etsy, bill by direct invoice, or Facebook PM's to process orders. Lots of selling options!!

All pickups are through The Maker's Hub, which provides shoppers with a one-stop-pickup spot for purchases in our group. Our pickup service is safe, professional and contact-free. If you would like more information about this service, email us at

Vendors not using our pickup service will be able to ship directly to each customer, or courier.

Please note, we are moving to a new location this fall in Whitby, Ontario, close to the 401 (soooo exciting!!).

Basic cost of entry is $20/month.

Our FB virtual vendor fees start at $20 monthly. Fees cover admin, support, marketing.


All pickups must be made at The Maker's Hub. If you are not local to TMH, you may courier to us, or offer shipping to the buyer directly. Any exceptions to this rule must be approved by The Maker's Hub.

Turnaround expectations are 10-14 days or less. During the peak shopping season, 3 weeks is considered reasonable if required. Vendor turnaround time guarantees are to be communicated clearly in the listing. A template will be provided.

Pickup fees are not included. Credits can be purchased in bulk at a discount and start at only $1.60/pickup.

Wholesale pricing is available for high volume vendors with 100+ pickups per month, at $1.40/pickup. A coupon code will be supplied to access this rate.

Porch pickup and meet ups to exchange are prohibited in our shopping group.


All vendors are welcome to offer shipping directly to customers. If using TMH Boutique, shipping will also be available.


Delivery can be offered if using a third party courier service, or the vehicle is insured for delivery. Otherwise it is prohibited for legal reasons.

Virtual vendors are required to pay $20/month to sell and promote in the FB shopping group, and access the vendors group. This is the basic cost of entry.

Our Tier 2 plan ($34.95/month), gives access to sell through our multi-vendor website. Each vendor will be provided a sellers dashboard to manage their listings, inventory, fulfillment, pull sales reports and more. Processing fees are 12% + $.30/transaction.

Our Tier 3 plan ($59.95/month) has all the pretty bells and whistles. This stellar plan also features a reduced commission rate 10% + $.30/transaction. An additional form and approval is required to access this plan. If you have selected interest in this plan below, we will reach out to connect with you directly.

Plans can be upgraded at anytime.

Vendors are required to have both Facebook business & personal pages.

Each vendor will receive their own shopping album in the FB shopping group.

Approved selling options are; The Maker's Hub Handmade Boutique (, your own website, Etsy, by direct invoice, or Facebook DM's.

If selling through TMH's online Boutique, payouts are bi-weekly, by direct deposit.

Invites will come by email from We recommend adding our email address to your contacts to avoid our invite getting spammed or junked.

Invited vendors will be provided a vendor contract and registration. Following receipt of registration, vendors will be given access to the vendors group and supplied vendor graphics.

New vendors are committed to a 3 month term to start. After 3 months,14 days notice must be given to close accounts on Tier 2 or Tier 3 plans. Basic plan only requires 48 hrs notice.
