Author/Artist Q & A: These are 30 minute chats that are held in our chat room. Open to any published (indie or trade) author or illustrator. Attendees as questions about you and your work. Very informal format.
Virtual Panel: These are one hour discussions featuring three to five panelists and a moderator. Discussions center on specific topics lead by the moderator.
Panel Moderator: The panel moderator is responsible for leading panel discussions. Panel moderators are expected to do some research into the topic and ask pertinent questions to guide the discussion. These positions are open to general readers who are not authors.
Forum Volunteer: Forum volunteers help moderate the general forums, organize games, and provide support for attendees, such as answering questions about the schedule, navigating the site, etc. These positions are open to general readers who are not authors.
Virtual Street Team: Street team members help promote the festival through social media. These positions are open to general readers who are not authors.
Judge: Judges help review nomination ballots for accuracy and narrow down the nominees to a manageable list of finalists. Special note: judges are not eligible for awards and cannot be nominated. These positions are open to general readers who are not authors.
Workshop/Seminar/Special Event: If you have an idea for a special event or workshop that you think would be of interest to our attendees, we would love to work with you to make it happen. The eFestival of Words is a reader-centric event, so your event should be of interest to readers.
If you are a reader who is volunteering to assist with judging, forum support, moderation, or the virtual street team, you do not need to provide any information marked with a [*]. All others should supply as much information as possible, as it will be used in our program guide and your online profiles at the festival.
