Registering with us is REQUIRED so that we can report the exact number of people we will have marching with us at the parade.
DATE & TIME
The PRIDE Parade will kick off promptly at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 10th, in downtown Austin. You MUST arrive at our rally point between 7:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. (see details below).
There are no age restrictions for this event. People of all ages are welcome to march with Out Youth in the PRIDE Parade.
ARRIVAL & DROP-OFF
You MUST arrive at our rally point between 7:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
We will not know the exact location of our rally point until approximately 6:30 p.m. We will email and text you the exact location of our rally point as soon as we know.
We will also have two adults posted at the northwest intersection of Trinity and 12th St. to meet anyone being dropped off.
When the Parade ends, we will proceed immediately to Ballet Austin, located at 501 W. 3rd St., where those needing rides can be picked up.
Because we do not know what time we will step off, we will not know the exact time we will be done. Everyone needing to be picked up will be instructed to call or text their rides at the beginning of the parade to let them know the approximate time we will finish.
Parking will be available for free at State Parking Garage A located near the intersection of Trinity and 14th St. Entry should be made via Trinity St.
Metered parking is also available around the staging area.
You may also consider parking at State Parking Garage N located near the intersection of San Antonio and 3rd St. This will be near where the parade will end.
Please make sure everyone you are marching with brings a water bottle. While Out Youth will have water, we cannot guarantee we will have enough for everyone.
Out Youth's first duty is to the safety and protection of the youth we serve. For the PRIDE Parade, this duty extends to everyone marching with us.
We will have volunteers marching with us to ensure our marchers stay safe during the Parade. All volunteers will receive orientation and training leading up to and on the day of the Parade.
If you have any questions about safety at the Parade, please contact Kathryn Gonzales at email@example.com or 512-910-5172.
You may not bring weapons of any kind, live animals, confetti, silly string, air horns, glass bottles, body armor, bricks/stones, water guns, or other projectile equipment.
If you have any questions about these prohibitions, please contact Sophie Osella at firstname.lastname@example.org or 512-419-1233.

The Austin Gay & Lesbian Pride Foundation and Out Youth will be photographing and recording video footage of the event.
