New Voices 2024 (Fellowship Application)

The New Voices Fellowship program is an immersive experience in arts administration for aspiring arts administrators of color. Ten New Voices Fellows will have the chance to work in the field and gain exposure to professional activities at arts and culture institutions during this 12-week Fellowship program.

The Benefits of being a New Voice Fellow:

  • Gain firsthand experience working in a nonprofit arts organization 
  • Fellows participate in a 4-week intensive Arts Administration Bootcamp before beginning their work with a host organization 
  • Fellows work in a host organization during their fellowship experience and receive an hourly wage for this part-time position  
  • Weekly group coaching sessions with experienced executive coaching professionals 
  • Engage in peer-to-peer learning and networking throughout the course of your Fellowship 
  • Participate in networking and social events
  • Great for your resume!

Arts Administration Bootcamp 

  • Bootcamp sessions will be held virtually from the week of May 6 through the week of May 27

Check-in Sessions 

  • Fellows are required to participate in monthly check-in sessions. These are hour-long sessions intended to check in on accomplishments, challenges, and the progress of your fellowship experience alongside your fellow peers
  • Fellows are paid for their participation in the check-in sessions
Fellowship:

  •  The New Voices fellowship is a job. Professional behavior is always expected 
  • Fellowship placements will begin the week of June 2, 2024 

  • Fellows work 12 hours per week. The schedule of those hours will be determined by the host organization 

  • Fellows will be expected to sign a code of conduct prior to participation.

  • The Arts Council will do our best to place you with an organization that fits your experience.
