2017 Trout & Salmon Quilt Square Exchange Sign-Up
Each class has a simple and fun task: decorate your quilt squares – 8” x 8” pieces of fabric, usually about 25 total – and send them to the other participating schools! In return, you’ll receive squares from around the country, which you can sew together as seen below in the picture.
Note that this year’s theme is SYMBIOSIS. Symbiosis is defined as a mutually beneficial relationship between different people or groups. Your class can interpret this in many ways and express this in the trout squares however they feel. Really, any type of watershed, people, or fish-related symbiotic relationship you can think of!
If you’re interested, fill out this sign-up form by February 3rd. Signing up is a commitment to make and send out the ~25 squares. You’ll have about a month to decorate the squares and write letters to your fellow TIC/SIC classes; squares will be due out to the other schools in the mail by March 6th.
