This is an energetic camp for kids who want to express their love and passion for dance. It will explore rhythm, musicality, basic body isolation and coordination. As an introduction to multiple styles of Hip Hop, kids will learn the foundational movements of b-boying/b-girling including top-rock, footwork, freezes and introductory power moves. Kids will also learn grooves and party dances from the 90's up through popular dances of today. By gaining an understanding of music and body awareness they will use their own creativity to combine these elements into freestyle. During the camp kids will learn a choreographed routine that they will perform for parents the last day. There will also be a freestyle section in the performance where kids will get to show off their own moves. Campers should bring water, a healthy snack, and come dressed for movement.

In this high-energy camp, dancers will combine the joy of dancing with the wonders of nature. Each day, dancers will split their time between Youngstown Cultural Arts Center and Delridge Playfield and enjoy a ballet class along with arts and crafts, nature studies, and dance stories. The last day of camp will culminate in a performance for families and friends, featuring a dance choreographed by the campers themselves. Younger students will focus on learning dance concepts and ballet basics, while older campers will expand their ballet vocabulary and gain confidence in their creativity. Campers should bring water, a healthy snack, and come dressed for the weather. We'll be outside rain or shine!
