By participating in this event each competitor agrees and acknowledges that sailing is a potentially dangerous activity with inherent risks. These risks include strong winds and rough seas, sudden changes in weather, failure of equipment, boat handling errors, poor seamanship by other boats, loss of balance on an unstable platform and fatigue resulting in increased risk of injury. Inherent in the sport of sailing is the risk of permanent, catastrophic injury or death by drowning, trauma, hypothermia, or other causes. By participating in this event, each competitor agrees to release the race organizers, including host clubs, their directors, officers, members and officials, from all liability associated with such competitor’s participation in this event, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

I further agree that I have reviewed and agree to abide by the Government of Ontario Concussion Resources available on the website below and that as PERSON IN CHARGE I , and crew under the age of 26, have reviewed the Ontario Concussion Awareness Resources within the last 12 months.

ROWAN’S LAW: RACING PERSON IN CHARGE ACCEPTANCE
By registering, I as PERSON IN CHARGE (PIC)/Skipper am confirming the following:
In consideration for allowing me to participate in AHMEN RACING events, I hereby warrant and agree that:
1. I have read or viewed the applicable Government of Ontario Concussion Resources: www.ontario.ca/page/rowans-law-concussion-awareness-resources ; and

2. I further agree to be bound by the Racing Rules of Sailing and by all other rules including those in the Notice of Race (NoR) and Sailing Instructions (SI) and all amendments that govern these events; and

3. Furthermore, I certify that the above-named boat carries valid third-party liability insurance with minimum coverage of three million Canadian dollars ($3,000,000) per incident or equivalent. Please email proof of this liability insurance to ahmenregistrar@gmail.com. The registration process is not complete until you do so. The registrar will confirm your registration.

By participating in these events I, as PERSON IN CHARGE/skipper/owner/participant, and all persons in my care, confirm acceptance of this entire document.

If I am not the sole PERSON IN CHARGE, I shall have any alternate PERSON IN CHARGE also complete an ENTRY FORM.
