Call for Presenters to help us Weaving the Fabric of Learning 2025 South Dakota Summer Summit
The South Dakota Departments of Labor and Education, in partnership with the South Dakota Association for Lifelong Learning (SDALL), are excited to host the 2025 South Dakota Summer Summit!
Join us July 23-24, 2025, at Southeast Technical College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, as we explore the latest trends and best practices in adult education. We invite trainers and practitioners from across the region to share their expertise and contribute to the success of this year's event.
We welcome proposals on a wide range of topics relevant to adult education.
Session Format: Breakout sessions are 75 minutes long, with multiple sessions offered throughout the two-day summit.
Proposal Guidelines:
- Submission Deadline: March 21, 2025
- Application Process: Please complete this application form thoroughly. If you encounter any issues submitting the form, please check for any red boxes or error messages.
- Use of Information: The information provided in this application will be used in conference materials. Please ensure accuracy.
- Presenter Responsibilities: If your proposal is selected, the lead presenter will be responsible for sharing presentation materials with attendees, communicating with co-presenters (if applicable), and coordinating/covering the costs of any equipment or materials beyond what is provided. A screen, projector, and flip chart are available upon request.
- Number of Submissions: Please submit one application per proposed session.
- Selection Criteria: Proposals will be evaluated based on the extent to which they:
- State clear learning objectives
- Engage participants through discussion or hands-on activities
- Provide practical information, strategies, or tools that participants can use in their work
- Are timely and relevant to adult literacy and education practitioners
Notification: Applicants will be notified of the status of their proposals the week of April 14, 2025.
