TEACHING SUSTAINABILITY:
Summary: We will look at Sustainability Education through the lens of an Environmental Learning Center, UMD Land Lab and the UMD campus. Day 1 we will look at sustainability through natural resource management (Boulder Lakes 18,000 acres) and Day 2 how UMD teaches sustainability education at the UMD Land Lab and on the campus of the University of Minnesota Duluth.

BRINGING CITIZEN SCIENCE INTO THE CLASSROOM:
Summary: We will explore multiple local Citizen Science programs and how they can be incorporated into your classroom. Day 1 will be working hands on with citizen science projects at Boulder Lake ELC and Day 2 will be focus on understanding phenology (both qualitative and quantitative) and how to monitor it at the Bagley Nature area on the campus of the University of Minnesota Duluth.
