This form is intended to be the first step for you to promote a live gig at the
People's Leisure Club in Edinburgh. Before you complete it, please read and take note of the following points of interest and basic T&Cs:
- The PLC is an independent community venue in Edinburgh (45 Lothian Street) with a commitment to support local and Scottish music first and foremost.
- For live shows the capacity is approx. 150 standing and 80-120 seated (although licenced for 230) with cabaret style tables optional.
- The main live stage is 5.5m wide and 2.5m deep.
- We are looking to fill free slots on Sunday to Thursdays where available. Standard times are 4pm / 5pm for load in and showtimes 7pm / 8pm to 10pm. Some Saturdays are available too.
- Our current backline / tech spec can be viewed here. All other kit including instuments should be provided by the client or their artists.
- The venue provides a duty sound technician.
- The client is expected to handle their own promotion, ticketing, box office management with scanners etc, although we can support you on this front where required for an additional fee.
- Live gigs will be listed on our social media, posters and monthly mailers.
- Rental for a live slot on these days is £125 flat rate which covers our staffing + PRS. Discounts for repeat / regular bookings are negotiable. Rental is payable by card at the venue before event starts or or in advance by invoice if preferable.
- Promoters and their artists receive 50% off food in the Gilded Saloon upstairs on the day of your show.
