LOWA Text Messaging Service Poll
In February of 2019 Lake of the Woods introduced RainedOut, a text message alert service, as a means of notifying members "about sudden, unexpected, critical and rapidly-changing situations which affect daily life at LOW," such as road and amenity closures. Initially, RainedOut was completely free of charge, however, in late 2019 RainedOut switched to a pay as you go service. To date, just under 900 members have subscribed to the text message alerts. LOWA is conducting this brief poll in an effort to determine if our members wish to keep the service or to cut it as a cost-savings measure to reduce expenses in the LOWA Communications Department budget.
